Winter Contest – this weekend!

ODBBA are really pleased to say that we have a record entry for the own choice testpiece contest at Cokethorpe school, Witney, Oxfordshire, OX29 7PU on Saturday 28th February .and Sunday 1st March (adjudicator Steve Pritchard-Jones).

Approximate times for each day are: Saturday 28th February

9.30am Unregistered Section (6 bands)

12.00 3rd Section (First 3 bands)

1pm LUNCH BREAK

1.45pm 3rd Section (Last 3 bands)

3.15pm 1st Section (7 bands)

End of 1st section Results and Prizegiving for 1st section and special awards

Sunday 1st March

9.15am 4th Section (9 bands)
12.15pm 2nd Section (first 4 bands)

1.30pm LUNCH BREAK

2.15pm 2nd Section (Last 4 bands)

4pm Championship Section (5 bands)

End of Champ section Results and Prizegiving for Championship section and special awards

Spectators are very welcome. Although it’s an own choice contest, invariably the majority of bands play their area testpiece so it’s an ideal opportunity to hear several of the area pieces in one day. Admission for non-players for one day are: Adults £8, Concessions (Over 60s/11-16 year olds £7), Under 11s free. Weekend tickets Adults £11, Concessions £9.
